Transport and Intelligence Minister Yisrael Katz responded to events in the south and said that "the policy of zero tolerance by Israel for any fire from Gaza will continue and any fire will be met with a response.
He added that "the shooting from Gaza proves that the presence of Mahmoud Abbas is no more than a fig leaf masking the serious situation involving armed and threatening terror organizations. Israel will continue to see Hamas as responsible and will levy the full price from it in order to protect itself.
