A pedestrian about the age of 40 was struck by a train near Moshav Yishi, near Beit Shemesh on Tuesday morning
United Hatzalah volunteers who responded to the emergency reported that due to the severity of the injuries sustained by the pedestrian he was pronounced dead at the scene. Train service between Beit Shemesh and Lod has been stopped because of the accident. Buses were sent to the two stations to provide service between the two points.
