Israeli employers have announced an annual allocation of 1.5 billion shekels to be matched by the state to improve the situation of needy elderly.
The announcement accompanied the submission of the "Aging with dignity" program's report by the employers and social organizations to President Reuven Rivlin. Director-General Avigdor Kaplan of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs said the allocation will help raise the monthly pension to NIS 7,780 per couple and NIS 4,670 per person.
