In light of the reports of Iran's establishing itself in Syria, Israel has sent a message to President Bashar Al-Assad via a third party that if Iranian forces were invited to enter his country, his regime would be in danger, according to News 2.

The message said Israel would change its current policy of non-intervention in the Syrian civil war. The reason for the warning is an attempt to prevent Assad from signing an agreement with Iran that would allow a sea or air port or precision munitions depots in Syria. The Iranians said that all the foreign forces should leave except for those invited by Assad, meaning the Russians and the Iranians who want such an invitation.
