The number of Palestinian refugees left in Lebanon has dropped significantly in the past few years with over quarter of a million refugees migrating to other countries in an attempt to improve their situation.
A Hamas representative in Lebanon blamed Israel for attempting to "empty the refugee camps and remove the basis for the right of return" and said that the situation in the refugee camps must be improved in order to maintain stability in them before the "return to Palestine."
Reports state that more than 45% of the refugees in Lebanon have migrated to other countries due to poverty, lack of employment and political instability.
