Shaked: There are constant leaks, law will reduce them

Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked(Jewish Home) expressed her support Thursday for the Recommendations Law which would prevent police from publishing their recommendations at the end of an investigation.

"There are constant leaks and the Recommendations Law will put a spotlight on them and reduce them," Shaked said at a law conference organized by Haifa University and the Haifa branch of the Lawyers Bureau.

Shaked explained that in investigations involving a prosecutor, police will transfer summaries but will not publish a recommendation about whether to indict the suspect. "The outline being discussed at present is a decent outline," she added.
