Pink Floyd musician Roger Waters, a leader of the BDS campaign, attacked Australian musician Nick Cave after he appeared in Israel and criticized Waters.

Cave, whose two performances in Israel are sellouts, said that "if you perform in Israel you have to suffer public humiliation from Roger Waters and his friends and nobody wants a public shaming."

Waters wrote back, saying that "Nick thinks this is censoring of his music. Huh? Nick, with all due respect, your music is irrelevant to this subject, and so is mine, and that of Brian Eno and Beethoven. This isn't about music, it's about human rights."
