MK Amir Peretz(Zionist Union) responded on his Twitter account to the Labor court decision to allow the firing of Negev Ceramics workers and the closure of the plant.
"The Negev Ceramics factory will be closed and its 140 workers will go home, many after tens of years on the job and with a very low chance of employment in the future. The judges admitted that they are aware of the severe ramifications fo the workers, the residents of Yeruham and the region," said Peretz.
He added that "now the government which has been sleeping on the job should wake up and find a way to prevent the closure of the factory and the dismissal of the workers."
