MK Betzalel Smotrich stated Tuesday that "the attempt to connect between the report by the State Comptroller and my opinion regarding the role and authority of the comptroller as well as the law I am promulgating is a ridiculous conspiracy."
Smotrich rebuffed complaints about the associations he is involved in, claiming that the comptroller had not found any issues with these associations but rather with the criteria of local authorities for financial allocations to various associations.
Smotrich queried whether the State Comptroller's office mentioned these associations simply to take revenge against him for the action he has taken against the comptroller's office.
