Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein spoke Tuesday afternoon at a session marking 40 years since former Egyptian president Anwar Sadat visited the Knesset.
Edelstein called on other Arab leaders to follow the example of Sadat and to come to Israel. Addressing the speakers of parliaments in other Arab countries, Edelstein said that "whoever among you is willing to take a bold step ,recognize the State of Israel and speak in the Knesset will find the doors open and not just open for a mad rush to a peace agreement but even to the beginning of such a process, open to building trust and to a common discussion on the real interests of citizens of all countries.
"It's quite possible we won't in the end reach agreement ,but don't worry: From such a visit nobody will lose."
