South Korea and Japan welcomed U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement that he would put North Korea back on a list of state sponsors of terrorism, saying the move would ramp up pressure on Pyongyang to denuclearize the Korean peninsula.
The designation allows the United States to impose more sanctions on North Korea.
