The Islamic State terror movement's faction in Afghanistan says it is behind a suicide bombing that killed at least nine people and wounded 10 others at a political gathering attended by hundreds in the capital, Kabul, according to CBS.

Kabul police spokesman Basir Mujahid said at least seven police officers and two civilians were among the dead, and 10 others were wounded. Mujahid said the suicide bomber wanted to get inside a banquet hall where the political gathering was taking place, but was stopped by police at a checkpoint, where he detonated his suicide vest.
