1.5 tons of unhygienic meat destroyed

In a raid initiated by police, the Food Supervision and Enforcement unit and the local veterinary, a ton and a half of meat was caught in a truck in the town of Yehud without proper hygienic conditions.

The meat was placed in open boxes in violation of legal procedures for transporting meat. The local veterinary checked the container and determined that it did not meet hygiene requirements.

The meat was destroyed and the driver of the truck, a 51-year-old Beer Yaakov resident, was detained and summoned for questioning.
