The Knesset has approved the first reading of a bill by Knesset Member Nissan Slomianski (Jewish Home), which proposes to explicitly add the principles of Jewish law to the sources of complementary law in our system, which the court will refer to when it finds no answer to a legal question in legislation, rulings or by analogy.
