The official value of the shekel declined an average of .352 percent on Monday against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list.

The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.543, up .397 percent from Friday, while the Euro rose .531 percent to 4.1287 shekels and the pound sterling was set at 4.639 shekels, up .032 percent. Leading the way was the Japanese yen, rising .579 percent. A hundred yen buy NIS 3.1266.
