Death toll in Iraq-Iran border earthquake rises to 30

Officials in Iran say that at least 30 people were killed in the strong earthquake on Sunday evening that shook the Iran-Iraq border region.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the magnitude 7.3 earthquake was centered 30 kilometers (19 miles) southwest of Halabja, near the northeastern border with Iran.
