Public Security minister Gilad Erdan said Sunday that he would oppose any proposed legislation against police.
"There is no place for legislation involving police at the present juncture and with the present sensitivity and certainly not for private initiatives which have not been coordinated or professionally examined by the Public Security ministry. I will oppose these initiatives and will oppose any impairment in the conditions of the police commissioner or any other police officer," Erdan said in an Army Radio interview.
