The 26-year-old Texas gunman, 26-year-old Devin Patrick Kelly, was released from the air force after a military court convicted him of beating his wife and son and sentenced him to 12 months in prison.
Texas authorities said the suspect, who wore black clothes, was shooting outside the church, and then went in and continued to shoot. It was also reported that an armed neighbor confronted him until the weapon fell on the floor, and the shooter fled. Soon after, he crashed with his car into a wall and was found dead inside.
