The head of the Knessets Internal Affairs Committee, MK David Amsalem, referred to the State Attorney's decision to close the case against Gil Shefer, stating that "police claimed a year ago that there was enough evidence to indict Shefer and his name was disgraced time after time. He added that "this is the reason I wish to fix the injustice and prevent police from publicizing its recommendations against innocent people before they have been verified."
