MK Oren Hazan(Likud) stated that IDF spokesman Ronen Menalis had made a "stupid gaffe" and said he expected Defense Minister Liberman to rebuke him and put him in his place.
Menalis had said earlier that the IDF had made a "defensive action" which was intended to protect Israel's sovereignty and had only intended to blow up the tunnel, implying that it had not intended to kill the terrorists present in the tunnel.
