The Knesset plenum on Monday evening approved in its first reading an amendment to the proposed anti-terrorism bill that would transfer the authority to blacklist a terrorist organization or a foreign terrorist activist from the ministerial committee to the defense minister.
According to the proposal, changes must be made in the process of blacklisting a terrorist organization or foreign terrorist operative which had been declared by the UN Security Council in order to meet the standards required for approval of the declaration in Israel.
