Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met today (Monday) with the Governor-General Patsy Reddy of New Zealand, who is in Israel as part of an event to mark the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Beer Sheva during World War I.
At the beginning of the meeting, a bilateral aviation services agreement was signed between Israel and New Zealand, which includes the introduction of direct flights between the two countries. The meeting also discussed cooperation between Israel and New Zealand in the areas of technology, cyber, science and transportation. Prime Minister Netanyahu briefed the delegation the situation in the region with emphasis on the takeover attempt of Iran in the Middle East in general and Israel's northern border in particular.
