Regional Cooperation Minister Tzachi Hanegbi has visited the workers' protest tent at the Negev Ceramics factory in Yerucham and met with representatives of the workers. He heard about the danger of layoffs hovering over the heads of 140 families from Yerucham and Dimona, due to the owners' desire to close the factory immediately.

Hanegbi said, "I have heard a lot of pain, frustration and helplessness from good Israelis who just want to continue supporting their families. A government that has invested hundreds of millions of shekels in strengthening the periphery will find a solution to the distress of Negev Ceramics workers."
