Deputy Education Minister Meir Porush attacked the Supreme Court decision to allow opening of stores in Tel Aviv on Shabbat.
"For the umpteenth time the court tramples the status quo and in an undemocratic fashion causes a rift and a schism in the nation. On the way it also hurts the storeowners who only wish to survive economically without being forced to desecrate the Shabbat. It's time to put the Supreme Court judges in their place and restore these decisions to the nation," Porush said.
