Labor party leader Avi Gabbay congratulated the Supreme Court on its decision to permit stores to open in Tel Aviv on Shabbat.
"We respect religion but do not respect religious coercion. I welcome the final decision of outgoing Chief Justice Miriam Naor and wish success to her successor Esther Hayut," Gabbay said.
