An evening saluting wounded Border Policemen took place Tuesday at the Border Police monument near the Irron Junction on Route 6.
Border Police commander Yaakov(Kobi) Shabtai said: "I have come here tonight as a representative of an entire society which wants to say thank you. I want to commend you for the battles in which you took part and to encourage you in the battles you face at present. You acted professionally under all conditions and situations and in one critical moment you were willing to give your lives for the security of your country. At that moment your lives changed and you transformed from fighters for your country to fighters in a battle that was your own. You fought and paid a high price."
