The Knesset has approved the second and third readings of a bill initiated by the Israel Securities Authority to prohibit trading in binary options in a merchant arena, whether the arena is directed at customers in Israel or abroad.
Chairwoman Rachel Azaria of the Knesset reform committee that prepared the legislation said, "The police and the Israel Securities Authority have unequivocally clarified the importance of the law to the country in general and to the Israeli capital market in particular. They speak a lot about the BDS [Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions -ed] movement and how Israel is perceived in the world. This law has tremendous importance as to how we are perceived in the financial world."
