The Tel Aviv Municipality and the police announced on Sunday that they would not renew the business licenses of the Pussycat Club, due to suspicion of sex services on the premises in violation of the law.
Taking credit for the decision after a prolonged struggle, a partner in the Committee for Combating Trafficking in Women and Prostitution said, "The time has come for the municipality to stop closing its eyes to the well known secret of the sex industry - many of the strip clubs are brothels and must be dealt with accordingly."
