President Reuven Rivlin has decided to abbreviate the prison sentence of former Ramat Gan mayor Zvi Bar and to convert part of it to a suspended sentence. Bar will be eligible in a few days time to stand before a parole board.
Bar was convicted on bribery charges and sentenced to three years in jail of which he has served nine months.
