The "Governance Law" proposed by Member of Knesset Moti Yogev (Jewish home), will be submitted on Sunday to the Ministerial Committee on Legislation. The bill is intended to regulate the relations between the Knesset and the Supreme Court of Justice, and according to the English model, will prevent the court from cancelling Knesset legislation.

The bill states that it "is intended to make it unequivocally clear in the Basic Law: The Judiciary that it is not within the jurisdiction of the court to declare a law void. In the absence of an entire constitution, the legislative authority is vested in the Knesset as the representative of the public, whereas the role of the court is limited to the interpretation and implementation of the laws on concrete disputes brought before it."
