Captain Ziv Shilon, who was badly wounded and lost an arm after setting off an explosive device near Gaza in 2012, has returned to Soroka hospital where he was treated five years ago. This time, however, he came accompanied by his wife, who delivered their second child at the hospital.

Shilon said that "Today we merited bringing new life here. I thank the amazing and professional medical staff at Soroka. Next week I will mark five years since arriving here by helicopter in very serious condition. My life was saved by the dedicated work of the trauma unit, the operating room staff and the ward staff."
