Police have arrested 28 haredim during protest demonstrations at central Bnei Brak locations. The protesters tried to block a road to protest the arrest of yeshiva students who attempted to evade army service.

Protesters blocked central streets in Jerusalem as well. An unusual event occurred Monday evening when a policeman pointed his gun at demonstrators blocking a Jerusalem intersection.

Police claim that the policeman was driving along Bar Ilan street when he encountered a violent group of demonstrators who surrounded him and threw stones at his van, while cursing and threatening him.

"At a certain stage the policeman felt threatened and tried to remove the demonstrators. Despite this, the policeman was summoned for an investigation of the incident."
