Ambassador Alan Baker dismissed on Tuesday a threat by the United Nations Human Rights Council to include the Bezeq communications company in its blacklist companies doing business in Judea and Samaria. Responding to a Facebook post, later removed, by Bezeq Director-General Stella Handler, the Director of the Institute for Contemporary Affairs at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs and the head of the Global Law Forum said that the blacklist is nothing more than an economic weapon designed to advance the council's sharp and hypocritical position.

Ambassador Baker said the council lacks credibility and has lost all moral capacity as a responsible international body, so everything it does is tainted by politicization and hostile motives.
