The official value of the shekel rose an average of .175 percent on Monday against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list.

The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.496, down .143 percent from Friday, while the Euro declined .369 percent to 4.1257 shekels and the pound sterlin was set at 4.6484 shekels, down .317 percent.
