Minister of Jerusalem Ze'ev Elkin laid out a national plan for protecting the status of Jerusalem internationally, within the context of celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem.

The plan comes in response to repeated attacks that try  to distort history, weaken Jerusalem's status as the capital of Israel, and sever the historical connection between Jerusalem and the Jewish people.

"In these days, Jerusalem, the Holy City, is in the eye of the storm under an unprecedented attack stemming from wickedness and ignorance in a vain and delusional attempt to rewrite its history and erase its deep attachment to the millennia-long history of the Jewish people," he said
