Member of Knesset Yehuda Glick (Likud) has congratulated Heinz-Christian Strache on the strong showing of his rightwing Austrian Freedom Party (FPÖ) in Sunday's general election
Glick said he received a written commitment from Strache last June to move the Austrian embassy from Ramat Gan to Jerusalem if the party won the elections. He added, "Strache told me at the meeting that he believes in the right of the State of Israel to build in all parts of the Land of Israel." Glick's congratulations included Strache "being the first European leader to give an undertaking to transfer the embassy to Jerusalem."
