The coalition team responsible for drafting a new conscription law, headed by Tourism Minister Yariv Levin, conducted its first meeting Tuesday. During the course of the meeting members were presented with a survey of past rulings and legislation on the matter of haredi conscription.
The main topic of discussion was the authority of the Supreme Court to disqualify laws. It was agreed that another meeting would take place after the Sukkot festival.
