Economy Minister Eli Cohen arrived at the Jordan Gateway project to inspect work taking place on the project to establish a new bridge and new joint industrial zone for Israel and Jordan, the first stage of which is slated to be completed in the next few months.
The new zone will include Israeli and Jordanian factories as well as a base for transferring merchandise. The new zone will be a free trade zone allowing people to trade there without a need for passports and visas.
