The Russian defense ministry denied reports Sunday that it had bombed US-backed rebel groups in Syria and claimed that its planes only attacked ISIS targets.
The rebels had claimed Saturday that they were attacked by Russian and Syrian airplanes in the Deir A-Zur region where Assad's army is fighting ISIS.
