Peru announced on Monday it is expelling North Korea's ambassador in protest of the country's "repeated and flagrant" violations of United Nations Security Council resolutions and its refusal to end its nuclear program, Reuters reported.
The announcement follows a similar move by Mexico last week and a public call by U.S. Vice President Mike Pence last month for Latin American nations to isolate North Korea.
