The Islamic State terror movement claimed on Monday that it was behind an attack on an Egyptian police convoy which killed 18 officers and wounded seven others.
Roadside bombs were used in the attack, 30 kilometers west of the northern Sinai city of El-Arish. Gunmen later opened fire on the scene.
