Lebanese media cited by Yediot Ahronot on Sunday reported that Israeli Air Force planes broke the sound barrier over the southern city of Sidon. As a result, explosions were heard and panic was reported among the residents and a woman who fainted in the Sidon market. Israel chose not to respond to the claims.

It was claimed that glass of buildings had been shattered as a result of the flight. Lebanese media even published pictures of a camp in the Old City of Sidon, part of whose ceiling fell as a result of the raids. Lebanese security sources told the Hezbollah radio station that the raids were carried out as part of the military maneuvers currently being carried out by the Israel Defense Forces in the north as part of a large exercise designed to wage war against the Lebanese terrorist organization.
