Tax authority investigations continue to reveal suspected tax evasions.
Recent inspections revealed a Tel Aviv air conditioning company which had cashed 270,000 NIS in cheques without registering the sums in its books. The company promised to check into the matter.
A pergola company cashed 51,000 NIS in cheques without documenting the income in its books. The company explained that due to financial difficulties it had to use cheques as its account has been restricted.
19% of the Tel Aviv companies investigated did not register income as required.
