Israel attacked a target in the Damascus suburb of Katifa on Wednesday evening, according to the Beirut-based Al-Mayadeen network.
This followed reports in Syrian media, later confirmed by the Syrian military, that Israel had attacked a base in the Hamat area of western Syria.
