Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz went on the initial run of the new Karmiel railroad line on Tuesday morning.
The link to the rest of the rail system is intended to cut travel time between the western Galilee city and Haifa. Regular service is scheduled to start in about two weeks.
