MK Stav Shaffir(Zionist Union) performed a wedding ceremony for one of the volunteers at her office.
Shaffir said that the civil ceremony was 'inspired' by the traditional Jewish ceremony and had been designed by the couple themselves.
Shaffir criticized the Hotam organization for publishing a clip stating that civil marriage is dangerous, harmful and against the Torah. Shaffir claimed the Rabbis who appeared in the clip were "cut off from Israeli society" which has "already decided" to accept civil marriage.
