An agreement of principles has been signed between the Keren Kayemet L'Yisrae Jewish National Fund and the Israel Land Authority, which will enable the four the issuing of competitive bids for the Finance Ministry's Mechir Lemishtaken (Occupant's Price) affordable housing program for first-time homebuyers in Netanya.

Under the agreement, in order to add housing units in high demand areas to the market, rights for the JNF land set aside for construction will be transferred to the State through the Himnuta subsidiary, and 2,500 residential units will be established to be marketed as part of the Occupant's Price plan. In place of those rights, the JNF has purchased lands that are not set aside, in which it will invest additional resources prepare them for populating - including residences and employment areas - and renewable energy.
