Tel Aviv is among the finalists for an EU contest celebrating innovation, making it together with 10 other European cities out of the 32 that had applied.
The EU's website said that Tel Aviv was included "for its impressive hi-tech sector programs and city policies, leading to the highest concentration of accelerator programs in Europe."
The winning city will get a 1 million Euro prize.
