23 babies were born at the Sieff Medical Center in Tzfat in the course of one 24-hour period. This is more than double the regular 8-10 births in such a time period. The hospital summoned extra midwives to the delivery rooms to deal with the increase in births.
August has seen a 15% rise in births at the medical center in comparison to 2016.
