Iraqi military sources reported that they had successfully retaken 90% of Tal Afar, including the city's center, from ISIS.
Tal Afar is a city and district in Iraq's northwestern Nineveh Governorate. The city is located 39 miles west of Mosul.
Earlier on Saturday, Iraq's Foreign Minister said 70% of the town had been retaken.
